Lightlines, Day of Talks - 16.05.15

Date: 16th May 2015

David will be presenting at a symposium as part of the Abbey Walk Gallery Lightlines Project.

Abbey Walk Gallery have great pleasure inviting you to this highly innovative day of talks by internationally renowned artists working in installation and digital media. Artists who highlight the diversity of approaches to this expanding area of practice.

Participating Artists:

David Cotterrell is an installation artist working across media and technologies to explore the social and political tendencies of a world at once shared and divided.

Gillian Hobson’s work is concerned with time, memory, place and sense. Working across media her hybrid practice explores the intuitive resonances at play in encounters with space and place.

Lou Hazelwood’s work is concerned with constructs of memory and how this affects our relation to image. She is interested in how images have been recorded and displayed historically and how this has developed current modes of display and our inclination to instantly forget.

Jo Booth is a fine artist and photographer whose works are concerned with heritage, historic material and archives. Having spent many years working at the National Media Museum she has a particular interest in the complicated relationship between art and photography.
